This is the web site for the Conveyancing Division of Beacon Legal, a firm of lawyers practising in the Australian Capital Territory of Australia.   We undertake conveyancing for both buying and selling of leasehold property in the ACT.   (Note that there is no freehold in the ACT.)

We believe we offer competitive prices.   Our prices are based on our own professional fee plus disbursements (ie fees charged by others for things such as searches). We charge the raw fee charged by others, eg a Title Search is $19 as charged by the Land Titles Office.   We do not charge pick up or collection fees for searches; we do not charge file opening or archiving fees; we do not charge a disbursement to attend a settlement as we do it ourselves; and we do not charge for telephone calls or faxes — these are part of our own overheads.
